Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold the physical integrity of properties in Texas. You will assist with resident service requests, safety compliance, and preventive maintenance while coordinating with the leasing team to maximize renewals.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in apartment maintenance, HS diploma or equivalent, and EPA certification. Valid driver’s license and tools are required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA certifications for refrigerant handling required.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours whenever possible.
• Assist in scheduling on-call rotations and provide maintenance support.
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies and laws (ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status of vacant units.
