Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold the property's physical integrity. The role focuses on timely service requests, safety compliance, and collaboration with leasing teams to maximize renewals and occupancy.

The candidate should have at least two years in apartment maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and an EPA certification, with a valid driver's license and basic tools. Weekend work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• EPA certification and ability to follow state/federal laws (ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Valid driver's license with clean record and auto insurance.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and ability to travel; weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Assist maintenance supervisor and manage on-call rotation.
• Perform routine and minor repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and fixtures.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records and site inspections.
• Prepare property for inspections and support stand-by emergency coverage.
