Job summary

CONAM Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Glen Ridge Apartments in Carlsbad, CA. This is a full-time, temporary position focused on preventative maintenance, repairs, and turnover support to ensure move-in readiness and curb appeal.

Responsibilities include handling HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues, responding to resident requests, and working with a team of technicians and contractors to maintain safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in apartment maintenance or equivalent.
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and carpentry.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting to minimize resident disruption.
• Excellent communication with residents, team, and vendors.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances, to ensure optimal performance.
• Address resident service requests related to apartment maintenance, ensuring timely resolutions.
• Oversee turnovers, inspections, repairs, and cleaning to prepare units for new residents.
• Maintain the community’s curb appeal, including landscaping and exterior maintenance.
• Collaborate with technicians, contractors, and property management team members.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency maintenance services.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards during maintenance activities.
• Additional duties as required.
