Job summary

Yugo is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Johnson City to ensure safety and upkeep across properties. You will handle work orders, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance while delivering high-quality resident service.

Requires 1 year of maintenance experience (HVAC/plumbing/electrical), high school diploma, EPA Type I certification preferred, and strong communication skills. Includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• High school graduation or equivalent.
• EPA Type I certification preferred.
• Pool maintenance certification preferred where required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build relationships.
• Proficient with technology and online systems.
• Carbon literacy certification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally with high-quality repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, concerns and emergencies with excellent service.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, appliance repair and carpentry.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, equipment and common areas.
• Maintain appearance, safety and functionality of property and spaces.
• Prepare vacant units by inspections, repairs and turn activities.
• Maintain pools, spas and related equipment per safety requirements.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours emergency maintenance as scheduled.
• Maintain inventory levels for tools and supplies; keep storage organized.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and safety procedures; participate in safety trainings.
• Communicate with maintenance leadership and management about work orders and needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work and standards.
• Maintain professional relationships with residents, team members and vendors.
• Assist with additional maintenance, operational and property improvement projects.
• May work near mechanical equipment, at heights, or around fumes; lift 50 pounds or more.
• Assist with additional maintenance and property improvement projects as needed.
