Job summary

Westover Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Newark, DE apartment community. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance on units and common areas, address service requests, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure resident satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will diagnose HVAC, electrical and plumbing issues, use standard hand tools, and maintain a safe, clean work environment. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine and preventative maintenance across multi-unit properties.
• Ability to diagnose HVAC, electrical and plumbing issues safely and accurately.
• Proficient with standard hand and power tools.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and roofs while following safety protocols.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers and preventative maintenance on units and common areas.
• Maintain current preventative maintenance logs and reports.
• Attend in-house training and keep tools organized and stocked.
• Share on-call responsibilities as required.
• Identify safety hazards and follow company procedures to address them.

He/she will be responsible for completing this work safely and timely to provide our residents with superior customer service.
