Job summary

Great Dane is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our facility in Pennsylvania. The role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of production machines, with responsibilities spanning from troubleshooting to installing replacements and testing operation after repairs.

Qualifications

Must be able to use pneumatic power tools.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements listed in the job description.
Look for cost savings in work process and minimize scrap and waste.
Meet or exceed required production level.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
Read a tape measure and other measuring tools.
Work with hands in mechanically oriented situations under supervision.

Responsibilities

Listen for unusual machine sounds to detect malfunctions and discuss variations with supervisors to diagnose problems.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and test machines to determine root causes.
Dismantle machines and equipment to access problem areas.
Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts.
Inspect parts for wear and misalignment.
Replace worn parts of drive or hydraulic systems.
Realign components like spindles and clutches.
Locate damaged pipes and install new ones.
Start machines to test operation after repair; repair/ fabricate parts.
