Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a range of production machines and equipment. You will work under the Maintenance Supervisor in a safety-focused facility, handling electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

The role requires reading schematics, performing fabrications, and setting up machine tools to repair parts. Physical stamina and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and determine root cause of malfunctions.
• Experience with repairing production machines and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in a plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Listen for unusual sounds and discuss operation variations to diagnose problems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and test machines to find root causes.
• Dismantle and assemble machines and replace parts.
• Inspect parts for wear and misalignment; replace as needed.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
