Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Jonesboro, ME to diagnose, repair, and maintain production machines and hydraulic systems. You will work 2nd shift from 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM, with overtime available and no prior experience required.

The role requires reading schematics, disassembling/reassembling machinery, and using tools safely in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Safety and quality are prioritized daily.

• Must be able to use pneumatic power tools and equipment.
• Must meet physical requirements listed in the job description.
• Must look for cost savings and minimize scrap and waste while using supplies efficiently.
• Must perform tasks to meet or exceed production levels.
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must have customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
• Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring tools.
• Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented settings following supervisor instructions.
• Aptitude to learn and retain new information.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and determine root causes of malfunctions.
• Repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
• Read schematics/blueprints and apply them to repairs.
• Dismantle machines and install new or repaired parts.
• Test operation after repairs and adjust as needed.
• Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts.
• Maintain and lubricate machinery and components.
• Assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
