Job summary

Cardinal Glass Industries, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an on-site, full-time role in the United States. The role focuses on plant safety, preventive maintenance, and ensuring reliability of drives, pumps, motors, and automation systems.

Responsibilities include prioritizing repairs, coordinating with engineering and production, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Education: high school diploma or GED. Night shift differential available.

  • Develop working relationships with equipment vendors, production departments and support services to ensure overall plant performance.
  • Must operate and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Description

Essential Functions:

Safety: Take responsibility for housekeeping of immediate work areas to assist in maintaining a safe work environment, follow all safe work practices, and use all applicable PPE.

Quality:

  • Understand and comply with the internal and external customer expectations
  • Take ownership and responsibility for all mechanical components in the manufacturing facility.
  • Primary responsibility will be for all drives, pumps, motors and plant automation.

Physical requirements:

  • Stand, walk, squat, kneel, climb (with or without a ladder) and sit over a ten-to-twelve-hour shift.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions for limited amounts of time.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes and routines.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing requirements and translate into a series of tasks, operations and actions in order that production goals are met.
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficient in the use of Word and Excel.
  • Position requires verifiable education or experience in an industrial setting.
  • Communication skills necessary to interact with internal and external service providers.
  • Ability to read/understand blueprints and electrical schematics.

Job Type and Compensation
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour with a $2.00 per hour night shift differential
  • Night Shift [40 hours/week]: $22.00/hour starting + (up to) 52% of gross monthly earnings for full-time team members = $68,640*
  • *Gross figures listed above do not include taxes, benefit deductions, overtime earnings, HSA/401(k) employer contributions, etc., nor do they factor in possible unpaid absences and should not be considered as a guaranteed wage figure*
