Job summary

Cardinal Glass Industries, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of automated systems in a busy manufacturing facility.

The role supports day and night shift rotations on a 2-2-3 schedule, with pay starting at $26 per hour and a range up to $32 based on experience. On-site in Virginia facilities, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of automation control systems including PLC’s and computer control interface systems.
• Proficient in at least two maintenance skill classifications.
• Proficient in MS Windows and DOS.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Able to interpret and utilize complex technical manuals, electrical and electronic schematics, tables and charts.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs., climb, and stand or be mobile for periods in excess of 12 hours.
• Available to work weekends.
• Team-oriented, able to collaborate with Plant Manager and vendors.

Description

Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of automated systems, including heat treating equipment, automatic glass cutting equipment, overhead cranes, glass assembly equipment and conveyor systems in a team environment.

Maintenance Tech Shift Availability: Cardinal's Maintenance Department works a 2-2-3 schedule, offering two 3-day weekends each month. We currently have openings on our day and night shifts.

• Night Shift:
  • Week 1 of Pay Period: Work Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat 6p - 6a
  • Week 2 of Pay Period: Work Sun, Wed, Thurs 6p - 6a
• Day Shift:
  • Week 1 of Pay Period: Work Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat 6a - 6p
  • Week 2 of Pay Period: Work Sun, Wed, Thurs 6a - 6p

Pay starting at $26+ depending on experience.

Maintenance Tech Requirements:

• 1-2 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of automation control systems including PLC’s and computer control interface systems.
• Proficient in at least (2) two maintenance skill classifications.
• Proficient in MS Windows and DOS.
• Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must be able to interpret and utilize complex technical manuals, electrical and electronic schematics, tables and charts.
• Applicant must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position including but not limited to the ability to lift up to 60 lbs., climb, and stand or be mobile for periods in excess of 12 hours.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Ability to work with and as part of a team including but not limited to the Plant Manager, managers, employees throughout Cardinal, and vendor partnerships.
