Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a General Maintenance professional to support store operations by handling service requests, preventive maintenance, and overseeing contractors. The role requires broad skills across building trades and a strong mechanical aptitude.

The position supports corporate facility programs, energy conservation, and waste management, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and teamwork in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education or 1–2 year vocational training.
• Willingness to supervise others in maintenance tasks.
• Verifiable maintenance-related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repair: lamp changes, fixture repair/installation and diagnostics.
• Perform plumbing repairs: installations/replacements, drain cleaning, diagnostics.
• Maintain understanding of HVAC systems and basic operation/maintenance procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs on equipment (tractors, forklifts, pallet jacks) and building repairs (painting, carpentry).
• Complete preventative and reparative maintenance to ensure energy conservation and waste management goals.
