Griffis Residential in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Service Technician to maintain community buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas. You will perform technical and mechanical work under the Service Manager, ensuring resident satisfaction with timely repairs and preventive maintenance.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year in multi-family housing, HVAC/plumbing/electrical know-how, and strong customer service. CPO/EPA pref and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in multi-family housing, hospitality, or related field.
• CPO license and EPA certification preferred (required within 6 months).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and general maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills; English required; Spanish a plus.
• Proficiency in basic computer and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to make apartments ready for move-in (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances).
• Respond to resident service requests and emergencies within 30 minutes.
• Assist in preventative maintenance schedules and inspections.
• Adhere to OSHA/EPA and local codes and regulations.
• Maintain pool/spa maintenance records and chemical balance.
• Conduct community inspections and report repairs.
• Participate in litter pickup, snow/ice removal and other tasks.
• Collaborate with Service Manager to meet financial goals and manage inventory.
