Job summary

Amsted Rail in Kansas City, KS is seeking a PLC / Electrician: Maintenance Technician to support the facility on 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, with overtime opportunities.

You will work safely, collaborate with maintenance, operations, quality, and management teams, and contribute to continuous improvement. Preferred candidates have PLC experience, hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, and industrial maintenance

We have an immediate opening for a PLC / Electrician: Maintenance Technician at our Kansas City, KS facility.The open positions are for 2nd and 3rd shift, working 8-12 hour shifts, plenty of opportunity for overtime! The pay range is dependent on skills but currently ranges from $40.50 - $44.5 per hour.

These positions actively support the operations of the facility. The goal of the position is to keep all mechanical and electrical systems in the assigned areas maintained and repaired.

What will you do?

• Work in a safe, controlled manner
• Work collaboratively in teams made up of maintenance, operations, quality, and management teammates
• Assist the operations team as needed
• Complete projects as assigned

SKILLS:

• PLC Experience - Preferred
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, and electrical equipment - Preferred
• Prior experience in industrial maintenance - Preferred
• Microsoft Office/SAP – Preferred
• Certified welder - Preferred
• Extreme heat and cold
