As a Superior Tie & Timber(ST&T) Maintenance Technician, you'll play an important role in keeping equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently. In this hands‑on role, you'll use your mechanical skills to maintain, service, and repair equipment, including performing welding and cutting work, inspecting and replacing key components such as engines, tires, and hydraulic cylinders, and servicing engines and fluids as needed. The selected candidate will help create a safe and productive work environment by following established safety procedures and supporting the well‑being of fellow team members, plant workers, and equipment operators.
This is a safety‑sensitive position and a successful pre‑employment medical assessment, including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test, is required. Post‑hire qualification drug testing may also be required.

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
