Sorbothane Inc. an established manufacturing company of visco-elastic materials located in Kent, Ohio has an opening for a Production Maintenance Technician I.

General Requirements and Responsibilities:

Production Maintenance Technician I perform preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems. Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. Being a Production Maintenance Technician I perform equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance. Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Additionally, Production Maintenance Technician I logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system. Follows all safety procedures. Requires a high school diploma. Report to Plant Manager. The Production Maintenance Technician I works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Require at least 1 year of general work experience in a manufacturing plant.

Other Responsibilities and Duties:

• Start up production machines each day following standard procedures.
• Mix raw materials as needed for each machine.
• Change over machine colors as needed.
• Perform building maintenance repairs as needed.
• Recycling or disposing of solvents and materials.
• As needed run production machines.

Perform other tasks and projects as required by the Production Manager.

Job Type: Full Time

Hours: 5:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday thru Thursday

Wage Hourly: $22.00 - $26.00
