An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their manufacturing team on the second shift. This role involves performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various machinery, including card finishing and support equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and pneumatic systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery effectively. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all card finishing, card body and perso machinery as well as support equipment (compressors, dryers, etc.). In addition, all Maintenance Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing machinery, performing calibrations and machine change overs, and fabricating replacement parts when necessary. Maintenance Technicians are required to perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as well as support equipment and are required to work with operators to identify and resolve issues with machine setups.
Reports to Maintenance Manager/Maintenance Supervisor.
Must physically be able to bend, stretch, and stoop, but not limited to only these physical activities.
Requires lifting of 40 lbs. or more without aid.
Requires normal hand, eye, and walking coordination.
Must be able to work from ladders.
Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Completion of Electro/Mechanical Course from a recognized Technical Institute is preferred.
1-2 years CNC operation or repair experience.
1-2 years machine repair/shop maintenance experience preferred.
Requires a strong working knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems.
Must possess the ability to diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Must be highly motivated and willing to learn new systems and technologies.
Must possess an excellent knowledge of basic hand tools.
Must possess strong mathematics and computer skills.
