Job summary

TRG Management Company, LLLP is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Manor Biscayne in North Miami (33181). The role focuses on hands-on maintenance of apartment homes and common areas, preventative maintenance, and on-call service.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of property maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and can lift up to 50 lbs. EPA or CFC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• A minimum of two (2) years hands-on property maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• The ability to lift up to 50lbs; walk, bend, climb and balance on ladders for extended periods during the day.
• An EPA or CFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in maintaining office and common areas including painting, carpet cleaning, and housekeeping.
• Hands-on maintenance of the property, including inspection, repair, and general maintenance of apartment units and common areas.
• Performs preventative maintenance and records findings in the maintenance log.
• Provides on-call emergency service as required.
• Maintains grounds and keeps them free of trash and debris.
• Monitors mechanical equipment (water heaters, HVAC, etc.) and performs repairs as needed.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment and replaces faulty components.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepares or assists in preparing maintenance of office in regard to painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping, etc.
• Responsible for the hands-on maintenance of the property, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of apartment units and other interior/exterior areas.
• Performs various preventative maintenance functions and records findings in maintenance log.
• Performs on-call emergency service as required.
• Works along with general maintenance staff in maintaining grounds and keeping them free of trash and debris.
• Monitors the maintenance and keep-up of all mechanical equipment on the community including, but not limited to, water heaters, HVAC units, etc.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• A minimum of two (2) years hands-on property maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
