Job summary

Camden Property Trust in Dallas is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for responding to maintenance requests across the community, including make-readies, groundskeeping, pool upkeep and preventative maintenance, all while delivering exceptional resident service.

The role requires minimal 6 months of maintenance experience, HS diploma or trade certification, EPA certification preferred, ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, and a flexible schedule including

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience or more, preferably in multifamily housing.
• High School Diploma preferred; certification from an accredited trade school highly desired.
• EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems in the community.
• Make-readies, carpentry repairs, tile work and general maintenance.
• Must have dependable transportation and valid driver’s license for community work.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards and report or correct them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete necessary repairs.
• Maintain community appearance and perform repairs as needed.
• Accurately document service requests and maintenance work in the management system.
• Support groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, and inspections as needed.
