Job summary

Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join the team in the Ocala, FL region. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and building systems to support production and operations.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss operation variations with supervisors to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedules maintenance so as not to hinder production timelines.
• Coordinates repairs to assist production teams in meeting schedules.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus and components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment, and replaces gauges, valves, regulators, etc.
• Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
• May perform non-maintenance duties temporarily.
