Champion Home Builders Inc. in Millen, GA, is seeking a Plant Maintenance Worker to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and related systems at our Millen plant. The role ensures reliable operation and supports production teams to meet schedules.

The ideal candidate will perform inspections, adjust electrical components, and conduct routine preventive maintenance, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedules maintenance to avoid hindering production timelines.
• Coordinates repairs to assist production teams in meeting timelines.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions and discusses operation variations with supervisors to diagnose problems.
• Dismantles defective machines and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedules maintenance to avoid hindering production timelines.
• Coordinates repairs to assist production teams in meeting timelines.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus and related components of machinery and equipment.
• Maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Education

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience
