Champion Home Builders seeks a Maintenance Worker to join our team in Ocala, FL. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and building systems on-site to support production needs.

Ideal candidates have a 1-year certificate or 3–6 months of related experience, and must pass a drug screen. We offer comprehensive benefits and a stable factory-built housing industry career.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines and discuss operation with supervisors to diagnose problems.
• Dismantle defective machines and install new or repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate repairs promptly to assist production timelines.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus and components of machinery.
• Lay out and maintain pipe systems and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment; repair gauges, valves, and regulators.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• May perform non-maintenance duties temporarily.

Summary

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Coordinates repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their scheduled timelines.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• May be required to perform non-maintenance duties on a temporary basis.

Education And/or Experience
