Job summary

LyvWell Apartments is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at a multi-unit property in San Diego. You will assist the Maintenance Operations Manager, lead a team of technicians, and perform varied repairs across mechanical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–4 years' relevant experience; HVAC/E Electrical/Plumbing certifications are a plus, with a valid driver's license often preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3–4 years’ experience can offset minimum education.
• 3–4 years of required experience at commercial or multi-unit residential property.
• HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required depending on property needs.
• Must be self-motivated, a team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with computers and smartphones; fluent in English; multilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Operations Manager or Supervisor in daily maintenance operations.
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians to complete tasks efficiently.
• Repair and maintain motors, pumps, boilers, water heaters, and related equipment.
• Oversee operation of boilers, make-up units, booster pumps; diagnose and replace parts.
• Perform carpentry: doors, jambs, moldings, shelving; turnover of vacant units.
• Perform painting: drywall/plaster repair and related tasks.
• Perform plumbing: install/repair pipes, fixtures, unclog sinks, repair faucets.
• Perform electrical duties: inspect/test lighting, wiring, and power circuits; replace components.
