Job summary

ORBIS Corporation seeks a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Bardstown, KY. You will maintain equipment to support production and warehousing in a safe environment, acting as front-line technical leadership for complex automation or equipment issues.

You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and install new equipment. Our benefits package starts after 30 days, including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, annual incentive plan, and more.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
• Hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting.
• Electrical troubleshooting.
• Blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements of all equipment.
• Troubleshoot any issues of mechanical devices, correct issues to maintain productivity/quality standards.
• Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts, fabricate parts when needed, adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Control downtime by communicating with all departments.
• Train other employees and new hires as needed.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety and communications meetings as scheduled.
• Complete all safety and company compliance training on time and according to schedule.
• Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, conserve resources when able.
• Prepare maintenance reports, document, and communicate actions, irregularities and continuing needs through the use of EAM.
• Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
