Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV to support 24/7 operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role offers a night shift with a 10% differential and a starting pay of $35.00 to $40.00 per hour, Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday depending on scheduling.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available. You will help maintain extrusion processes, assist in line commissioning, and participate in TPM initiatives while coaching operators on preventive maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two-year maintenance certification preferred.
• Experience with PLC logic is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Welding and forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains production lines and equipment to run continuously.
• Develops and prioritizes work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
• Completes work orders per directions.
• Supports 6S and TPM programs.
• Coaches and trains operators in daily preventive maintenance checks.
• Supports preventive maintenance on the shift.
• Contributes to line commissioning after maintenance events.
• Participates in plant projects as needed.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Hours: Monday through Friday or Sunday through Thursday 11PM to 7AM! 10% Shift Differential for working nights. Technician IV Pay Level: Starting at $35.00 - $40.00 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience

This position is eligible for a $3,000.00 Sign-On Bonus!

Core Responsibilities:

• Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
• Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
• Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
• Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
• Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
• Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
• Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
• Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
• Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
• Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Qualifications:

• Computer Skills: Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
• Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
• Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus
• Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings; Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Strong mathematical skills; Success in planning, executing and managing projects
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
• Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment

Education Requirements:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Advanced education and/or related-certification(s), a plus
• Certifications & Licenses:
  • Will meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech"s Training
  • Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program
  • Completion of two year Maintenance Certification course
  • Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, a plus
  • Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program
