Job summary

Imperial Garden Apartments in Smyrna, TN seeks a Maintenance Technician to join the property team. You will perform routine maintenance, support apartment turns, and help keep the community safe and inviting.

Ideal candidates bring apartment maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to train others. HVAC certification is a plus and on-call duties are shared with the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment maintenance or property management is preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to train and guide other maintenance staff.
• Shared on-call with maintenance team is required.
• Must meet physical requirements, including stairs and multi-level environments.
• HVAC certification is a plus; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks and work orders at Imperial Garden Apartments.
• Assist with apartment turns and curb appeal maintenance.
• Support special projects as needed by the team.
• Participate in on-call rotation with the maintenance staff.
• Utilize HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and custodial skills.

Your Role on the Team

Imperial Garden Apartments is a 300 unit affordable multi-family property in Smyrna, TN. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Manager to help keep the apartment community safe, clean, and welcoming. You'll support day-to-day maintenance by completing work orders, assisting with apartment turns, maintaining curb appeal, and helping with special projects as needed. You'll share in an on-call rotation with the maintenance team and use a variety of skills—including HVAC, painting, plumbing, appliance repair, electrical, carpentry, and custodial work-while making a positive impact on the community and residents you serve.

Who is our Ideal Candidate?

• Previous apartment maintenance experience is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Ability to train, coach, and guide other maintenance personnel.
• Shared on-call with other maintenance staff is required.
• Capable of meeting all physical role requirements including navigating multi-level environments via stairs.
• HVAC certification or related certifications (such as EPA) are a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
