Job summary

Union Technologies, headquartered in Dallas, TX, seeks a Maintenance Technician III to drive advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and reliability improvements across manufacturing operations.

You will lead responses to major equipment issues, mentor junior technicians, and collaborate with engineering and production to boost uptime while ensuring strict safety and record-keeping standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment with automation.
• Experience with automated or PLC-controlled systems preferred.
• Ability to read complex schematics and technical documentation.
• Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
• Willingness to mentor junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of CNC machines, forging presses, conveyors, and automated systems
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures using structured problem-solving methods
• Lead response to critical equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime
• Analyze equipment performance and identify recurring failure patterns
• Recommend and implement improvements to preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment
• Support PLC troubleshooting and basic control system diagnostics (if applicable)
• Mentor and train Maintenance Technician I and II personnel
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and enforce proper procedures
• Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records in CMMS systems
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment performance
• Other duties as assigned
