Job summary

Union Technologies, based in Dallas, TX, seeks a Maintenance Technician II to independently perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment for reliable operation. The role covers forging, machining, and facility systems with emphasis on safety and accurate CMMS work orders.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, assist in new equipment startup, and collaborate with production to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance tracking.
• Understanding of industrial safety practices and regulations.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on CNC machines, forging presses, conveyors, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore systems to operational status in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate and detailed work orders within CMMS systems.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures including lockout/tagout and OSHA requirements.
• Identify equipment reliability issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Support maintenance of spare parts inventory and assist with procurement needs.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
