Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities worker for the 1st shift (7:30am – 4pm). You will monitor and remove waste, load trailers with a forklift, and keep production areas and grounds clean and safe.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of facility equipment. Occasional building tasks and strict PPE procedures apply. Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and remove waste from production workstations and dispose of materials in the appropriate waste streams.
• Sort scrap materials and load designated trailers using a forklift.
• Sweep and maintain production areas, exterior grounds, and the area surrounding the sawdust trailer.
• Perform general facility housekeeping and maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities as directed.
• Support the installation, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment and property.
• Assist with painting, minor building repairs, and other general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
• Support other team members through collaboration and communication.
• Day-to-day direction provided by supervisor.
