Forte Opening Solutions in West Deptford Township, NJ is seeking a general maintenance/facilities worker to join our production site on the 1st shift (7:30am–4:00pm).

Responsibilities include monitoring and disposing of waste at workstations, sorting scrap for trailers with a forklift, sweeping and maintaining surrounding areas, and assisting with preventive maintenance and minor building tasks. The role emphasizes safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• One year of maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and remove waste from production workstations and dispose of materials in waste streams.
• Sort scrap materials and load designated trailers using a forklift.
• Sweep and maintain production areas, exterior grounds, and the area surrounding the sawdust trailer.
• Perform general facility housekeeping and maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities as directed.
• Support the installation, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment and property.
• Assist with painting, minor building repairs, and other general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
• Day-to-day direction provided by supervisor.
