Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to maintain, operate, and repair buildings, equipment and systems across facilities. The role supports hospital and clinic environment and may install equipment; requires reading blueprints and performing general mechanical repairs.

The position is full-time, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential travel to BCHS sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years maintenance experience required
• High School or Equivalent required; Technical in related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, and repair buildings, equipment and systems across facilities
• May install equipment as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics; perform general mechanical repairs
• Provide indirect guidance to others and project-specific management
• Perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance covering plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, painting, carpentry and related systems
• May travel to BCHS facilities to perform maintenance

Maintenance Technician III

Status: Full Time | Time : 7:00am-3:30pm | Days: Monday-Friday

Location: Tampa, Florida

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment and systems throughout the assigned facilities.
• May also be required to install equipment.
• Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics and perform general mechanical repairs. Responsible for providing indirect guidance to others and to provide project specific management to others.
• Responsible to perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to cover all trades including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, painting,
• carpentry and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.
• Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily
• within the craft lines.
• May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Required: 3 years maintenance
• Preferred: 2 year hospital-related

Education

• Required: High School or Equivalent
• Preferred: Technical in a related field

Licenses

• Required: FL Driver's License
