Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a facilities maintenance technician at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. This full-time role focuses on the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment and systems across our campus, with responsibilities spanning multiple trades.

You should have at least two years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment and systems across the facilities.
• Perform general mechanical repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance across trades (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, painting, carpentry).
• Work may include weekends or travel to BCHS facilities as needed.

Position Details

• Location: Morton Plant Hospital - Clearwater, FL
• Status: Full-time
• Shift: 7:00am-3:30p.
• Days: Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of buildings, equipment and systems throughout the assigned facilities.
• Must possess the ability to perform general mechanical repairs.
• Perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to cover all trades including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, painting, carpentry and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.
• Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines.
• This position may require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: High School or Equivalent
• Preferred: Technical in a related field

Licenses

• Required: FL Driver's License

Experience

• Required: 2 years maintenance
• Preferred: 1 year hospital-related
