Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an HVAC Mechanic II for South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, FL. The role runs full-time, with a 2:30pm-11:00pm shift from Tuesday to Saturday, and may require travel to other BCHS facilities for maintenance.

Essential duties include preventive maintenance of HVAC and related systems, maintaining hospital facilities, and flexibility with shifts. EPA certification is required; refrigeration certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: High School or Equivalent.
• Preferred: Technical training or schooling.
• EPA Certification required.
• Refrigeration Certification preferred.
• Required: 5 years HVAC/R service experience.
• Required: 2 years Building Automation System experience.
• Preferred: 3 years hospital maintenance experience.
• Preferred: 1 year high-rise maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of HVAC and related systems.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May work various shifts and weekends to meet hospital needs.
• May travel to BCHS facilities for maintenance.

HVAC Mechanic II

Location: South Florida Baptist Hospital, [Plant City, FL]

Status: Full Time | Time: 2:30pm-11:00pm | Days: Tuesday-Saturday

• Perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.
• Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines.
• May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required: High School or Equivalent

Preferred: Technical

Licenses

• FL Driver's License

Required: EPA Certification

Preferred: Refrigeration Certification

Experience

Required: 5years as HVAC/R Service Related Technician

Required: 2 years Building Automaton System

Preferred: 3 years maintenance in hospital-related field

Preferred: 1 year high rise
