Job summary

Barrett & Stokely is seeking a Maintenance Technician at Williamsburg Square in Columbus, OH. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to service requests, and help keep apartments ready for occupancy.

Requires 2+ years in maintenance, EPA certification, own tools, valid driver's license preferred, ability to work on-call rotation, and legal work authorization in the US. Company offers benefits and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Provide excellent customer service for maintenance requests and fix issues promptly.
• Handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, drywall and other tasks as needed.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Complete work orders within five business days of vacancy and turn units as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.

Essential Job Functions

• As instructed by Maintenance Supervisor, complete preventative maintenance activities and assist in updating records of those activities.
• Provide excellent customer service in fixing all customer requests for maintenance support. This includes timely and responsive resolution to issues.
• Complete maintenance service requests involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, drywall, and other types.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as scheduled, responds to emergency service requests (after-hour emergency calls) and alert and/or assist Maintenance Supervisor with response to property disasters (fires, floods, freezes, etc.).
• Complete all maintenance work orders within assigned timeframe and make most apartments ready within five (5) business days of vacancy.
• Perform turns of all vacant units as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.

Qualifications

• Technical school, High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• Must be EPA certified. Possess your own basic tools to perform building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license preferred. Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
• Must be willing to work on an on-call rotation.

Pay/Schedule

Starting Pay - $21.00 per hour

Day shift

Must be willing to work on an on-call rotation.
