Barrett & Stokely is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician at Williamsburg Square in Columbus, OH. The role involves rapid response to maintenance requests, preventive maintenance tasks, and keeping accurate service records to ensure apartment readiness.

Candidates should have at least two years in maintenance, EPA certification, own tools, and a valid driver's license. On-call rotation and a customer-service mindset are essential to support the property.

Qualifications

• Technical school or high school diploma/GED preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• Must be EPA certified and own basic tools to perform maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license preferred and reliable transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Willing to work on an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and update records.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly.
• Handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, drywall and other maintenance tasks.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Close work orders within 5 business days of vacancy; perform unit turns as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.

Essential Job Functions

• As instructed by Maintenance Supervisor, complete preventative maintenance activities and assist in updating records of those activities.
• Provide excellent customer service in fixing all customer requests for maintenance support. This includes timely and responsive resolution to issues.
• Complete maintenance service requests involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, drywall, and other types.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as scheduled, responds to emergency service requests (after-hour emergency calls) and alert and/or assist Maintenance Supervisor with response to property disasters (fires, floods, freezes, etc.).
• Complete all maintenance work orders within assigned timeframe and make most apartments ready within five (5) business days of vacancy.
• Perform turns of all vacant units as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.

• Minimum two (2) years' experience in maintenance or equivalent field.
• Must be EPA certified. Possess your own basic tools to perform building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license preferred. Must have reliable transportation.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
• Must be willing to work on an on-call rotation.

Pay/Schedule

Starting Pay - $21.00 per hour
