Job summary

Silgan Containers Corp. in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to troubleshoot and repair injection and compression molding equipment, conveyors, robots, and related systems in a fast-paced CME environment.

You will perform setups, changeovers, preventive maintenance, and electrical/mechanical repairs ensuring safety and quality standards. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, CMMS proficiency, and the ability to read schematics and use measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Requires technical degree or equivalent experience in industrial manufacturing
• Proficient in operating molding/robotic equipment and diagnosing malfunctions
• Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of CMMS/EAM and maintenance documentation
• Ability to read schematics and use measuring tools
• Strong safety and quality compliance understanding

Responsibilities

• Operate molding machines, conveyance equipment, robots, and auxiliary equipment
• Troubleshoot pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical malfunctions
• Consult OEM manuals for procedures, parts, PMs, and troubleshooting
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment
• Maintain safe, clean work area and adhere to 5S and Lock Out/Tag Out
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
