Job summary

MedPharm is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform regular predictive and preventive maintenance, respond to unplanned equipment failures, and plan repairs across multiple facilities in Durham, NC. This role requires hands-on mechanical work, tool use, and adherence to safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 3 years in a GxP environment, and experience with machine tools or mechanical assembly.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• 3 years relevant experience in a GxP environment.
• Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly.
• Working knowledge of safety protocols.
• Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machinery and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Read, interpret, and follow instructions and operation manuals.
• Maintain schedules for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
• Clean, repair and install equipment and parts as needed.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Reduce downtime through preventive maintenance and monitoring compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation.
• Maintain inventories of equipment, parts, and supplies; place orders as needed.
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports; collect, analyze, and summarize data in CMMS.
