Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Durham, NC seeks a maintenance professional to improve reliability of systems and equipment on the assigned process, reduce downtime, and support day-to-day operations. The role requires understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems, the ability to read technical docs, and experience with SAP for maintenance records.

You will work rotating shifts and collaborate with process owners and fellow technicians to drive performance and growth of the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in relevant field or equivalent training.
• 5 years in manufacturing, 3 years in regulated industry & solid dose manufacturing.
• Experience with troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation (SOPs, PMs).

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental requirements in all duties.
• Follow SOPs in performance of duties.
• Develop and establish maintenance procedures and spare parts lists.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on processes.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and data sheets.
• Work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts and/or weekends.
• Document maintenance activities in SAP.
• Collaborate with process owners to improve performance and reliability.
• Train fellow technicians and learn new systems.
• Apply SPS for root-cause analysis.
• Suggest improvements to equipment and practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing staff to troubleshoot equipment.
