Job summary

Silgan Closures in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to apply industrial maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and repair skills on molding equipment and robotics. The role supports production with preventive maintenance and quick issue resolution.

You will work Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime opportunities and a focus on safety and reliability. A technical background and hands-on experience are required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree preferred or equivalent experience in industrial manufacturing.
• 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical/mechanical maintenance background.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and robotics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain molding machines, robots, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Respond to machine alarms and identify root causes.
