Job summary

Reynolds American is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Winston-Salem, NC to install, test, calibrate, repair and maintain electrical/electronic control systems for high-speed manufacturing equipment.

You will diagnose and repair complex electronic circuits, interpret schematics, and support robotics and quality-control systems while contributing to productivity improvements. A degree in electronics-related field and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related field (or military equivalent).
• 3+ years of electronics experience in high-speed manufacturing or process control environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to repair complex electronic circuits.
• Solid understanding of electronic components, systems, and industrial automation.
• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools and basic Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and industrial communication networks (Profibus, ControlNet, Ethernet).
• Diagnose and repair motor drive systems, including variable frequency and DC drives.
• Install and maintain advanced systems such as robotics and high-speed camera-based quality control equipment.
• Interpret and work from engineering schematics, diagrams, and vendor documentation.
• Use diagnostic tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, VOM) to analyze and resolve complex electrical issues.
