Job summary

Reynolds American in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Mechanical Specialist to operate and maintain high-speed tobacco manufacturing equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex defects, and document repairs in SAP/CMMS, contributing to machine health and KPI targets.

The role requires a 2-year degree or equivalent certification in industrial systems or mechanical technology, with experience in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year degree or certification in industrial systems, mechanical technology, machine operator certification or related field.
• Experience in tobacco manufacturing or supporting environment is preferred.
• Proficient with SAP/CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate high speed tobacco cigarette manufacturing equipment and maintain machine health.
• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose mechanical defects for corrective actions.
• Create machine repair records and monitor KPI data in MES/CMMS systems.
• Install, commission, and adjust packaging equipment and perform complex interventions.
• Ensure quality checks and compliance with standard work instructions.
