Job summary

Barrett & Stokely in Dayton, OH is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance, urgent service requests, and turning vacant units. You will contribute to high-quality service and timely repairs to keep properties in top condition.

Responsibilities include HVAC troubleshooting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and after-hours on-call rotation. A two-year maintenance background and EPA certification are required, with a driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance or equivalent.
• Must be EPA certified.
• Valid driver''s license preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Willing to work on an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• As instructed by Maintenance Supervisor, complete preventative maintenance activities and assist in updating records of those activities.
• Provide excellent customer service in fixing all customer requests for maintenance support. This includes timely and responsive resolution to issues.
• Complete maintenance service requests involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, drywall, and other types.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as scheduled, responds to emergency service requests (after-hour emergency calls) and alert and/or assist Maintenance Supervisor with response to property disasters (fires, floods, freezes, etc.).
• Complete all maintenance work orders within assigned timeframe and make most apartments ready within five (5) business days of vacancy.
• Perform turns of all vacant units as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
