Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the community's physical condition and deliver world-class service to residents. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure service requests are completed promptly.

The role supports a structured Maintenance Technician career path with levels and training plans, and requires strong troubleshooting and customer service skills along with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 years of maintenance experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Advanced knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or carpentry.
• Solid troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose problems and recommend repairs.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Valid state driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Certifications relevant to the region (EPA 608, Boiler Certification, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair) within 9–12 months.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and orderliness of property HVAC, mechanical, electrical, utilities and lighting systems; inspect and repair.
• Ensure safety and environmental policies are followed.
• Deliver high resident satisfaction through professional interactions.
• Work a rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 maintenance coverage.
