Job summary

Laphcc is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to support facility operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, machinery, and building systems. The role ensures safe, efficient, high‑quality maintenance services across the facility.

Responsibilities include servicing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems, troubleshooting machinery, performing preventative maintenance, and handling work orders with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to read instructions, write basic reports, and communicate effectively.
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, ratios).
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and vendors.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems; gas/electric water heaters and furnaces.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment.
• Dismantle defective equipment and install new or repaired parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Repair and maintain facility structures and resident accommodations.
• Operate machine tools (lathe, drill, grinder, milling).
• Complete work orders and assigned projects promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Report safety hazards and incidents immediately.
