Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician II to join our operations & maintenance team at Pontiac, IL. The role involves responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and performing emergency and preventive maintenance on building equipment in a manufacturing environment, including clean rooms.

The position supports a 24/7 operation with AWS night shifts and varying schedules. Under minimal supervision, you will work within a multi-craft team, handle non-licensed maintenance, and assist

Qualifications

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Two years work experience and general maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs functions of the position following safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs facility and production equipment per regulations and standards.
• Analyzes equipment failures and performs preventive maintenance on building and production services.
• Performs planned maintenance and keeps spare parts inventory updated.
• Troubleshoots mechanical equipment including HVAC, pumps, and other systems to minimize downtime.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and supports project work as needed.

Education

Associates degree or trade school certification in Industrial Mechanical, HVAC, or related field
