Job summary

The FedEx Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to support Industrial Maintenance for material handling systems. You will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, focusing on mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC/controls, with welding/fabrication tasks as needed.

You will diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues, follow safety standards, and assist with maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Four (4) years experience in Industrial Maintenance with proficiency in mechanical power transmission, electrical and working knowledge of PLC/Controls and welding/fabrication skills through job experience, related military experience and/or related education required.
Certificates in Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trade or related area and an associate degree in a related area preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide basic preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems; build skills in electrical, PLC/controls and welding/fabrication.
Diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues visually or audibly at a component level.
Adhere to safety standards and attend required trainings; promote a safe work environment.
Assist with preventative/corrective maintenance tasks; may participate in smaller scope projects.
