Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support industrial maintenance for material handling systems. The role covers mechanical power transmission, electrical and PLC controls, with basic welding/fabrication skills, and safety-focused work practices.

The position requires two years of experience in industrial maintenance, relevant certificates, and the ability to follow detailed work orders. EAM software use is part of daily tasks, with potential for flexible scheduling and multi-site

Qualifications

Two or more specialty skills in mechanical power transmission and/or electrical and/or PLC/Controls with basic welding/fabrication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems within material handling systems.
Adheres to safety standards and participates in trainings to maintain a safe work environment.
May work flexible schedules and support various shifts as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

Provide preventative and predictive maintenance and repair of material handling systems.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues; escalate complex problems to higher level technicians or management.
Utilize EAM software to enter and retrieve prescribed data.
Perform welding or fabrication tasks as required.
Assist in smaller scope projects as needed.
