Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our Somerville community. You’ll diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and high quality living spaces for residents.

With 2–3 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to participate in on-call rotations, you’ll contribute to a safety-first culture and preventative maintenance programs across our properties.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to participate in on-call schedule rotating monthly.
• Strong communication with residents and team members.
• Ability to read maintenance policies and SDS documents.
• Knowledge of PPE usage and safety practices.
• Basic understanding of emergency systems and operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and related maintenance tasks.
• Complete service requests and repairs promptly per standards.
• Ensure vacant apartments are rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist in interior/exterior painting as needed.
• Maintain safety culture and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform hot works (brazing, soldering, welding) per standards.
