Job summary

UniFirst Corporation seeks a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our team in Oklahoma City. You will handle repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems and components.

The role features a Monday–Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime and on-the-job training. You’ll work in the Maintenance Department as a Team Partner, solving problems, following blueprints and safety procedures, and collaborating with other technicians to keep

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics; maintenance literature in English.
Lockout/Tagout experience.
Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment.
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment problems through observation and testing.
Assist other maintenance personnel with repairs.
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
Test boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment systems; log results and adjust chemicals.
Perform daily and weekly boiler safety checks and repairs.
Inspect and maintain motors, belts, fluids, and lubricants.
Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
Inspect, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
