Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation, Butler County Maintenance Organization, seeks a Maintenance Repairman 2 to perform skilled work on concrete forms, stone masonry, and wooden structures while supporting safe, efficient maintenance operations. You will be part of a dependable crew that tackles varied tasks and works with tools and materials.

This full-time role requires travel, overtime, and shift work with a 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration).
Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Responsibilities

Skilled Trades: Measure, cut, fit and construct concrete forms, and wooden structures.
Concrete Work: Mix, place and finish concrete for walls, culverts, and similar structures.
Stone Masonry: Cut, fit, grout, and point stone for required maintenance projects.
Tool Operation: Use hand tools and motorized equipment to complete assigned work.
Safety Awareness: Follow safety rules, report hazards and maintain a safe work environment.
Crew Support: Assist coworkers, operate vehicles, and complete tasks as directed.
