Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Stilwell, OK. You will perform preventive maintenance and complex mechanical repairs on food production equipment, including conveyors, weld work, and fabrication, while documenting activity in SAP.

The role requires 3+ years of related maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED (two-year degree preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and food production machinery to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
• Perform complex mechanical repairs including shaft keying, sprocket broaching, gear head replacement, stainless steel welding, hydraulic hose fabrication, and belt maintenance using specialized tools and equipment.
• Assist with equipment setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of new or modified plant machinery to support production needs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues through observation, auditory assessment, and use of precision measuring instruments, and effectively identifying and resolving root causes.
• Utilize SAP software to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and communicate effectively with production and operations teams to optimize workflow.

Job description

Starting Pay: $27.00 per hour

Additional $1.50 shift differential from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM

Shift: 2nd Shift

Schedule: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday
